WHO WE ARE
OUR STORY
Grace Church began over 70 years ago with the faith of a small group of people with a heart for Christ and the city of Tracy. Over time they sacrificed much to build our previous church buildings. We believe the Lord continues to be powerfully at work through the people of Grace Church. We are seeing people reached with the Gospel, disciples being made, baptisms, and ministries springing up to meet needs in the name of Christ in so many exciting areas.
We are so grateful for the prayers and faithful, generous giving of many to be able to build our new ministry center. We moved in and had our first worship services in March 2016. Our new facility features 25,000 square feet including a multipurpose center for worship and community events, as well as greater space for both children’s and youth ministries. The facility was built to maximize classroom space rather than office space. We praise God for these exciting days and seeing how the Lord has blessed us in using our new spaces to grow our current and future ministries.
OUR AFFILIATION
We are affiliated with Converge Worldwide. We partner with Converge both locally through their PacWest office and globally through Converge Worldwide to outreach communities near and far in a variety of ways.
So, what does it mean that we are members of Converge Worldwide? We are a people who have a passion to glorify God, are committed to the Bible’s authority, fervently practice evangelism and church planting, debate issues with a peacemaking spirit, are committed to training godly leaders and fostering healthy churches, are reaching the lost around the globe, and are an ethnically diverse community of faith.
We also share the historic Baptist distinctions of believer’s baptism by immersion, membership for believers, separation of church and state, and a democratic form of church government. These things define who we are: as individual disciples of Jesus Christ, and as a fellowship of churches. These values are part of our identity in the larger body of Christ. They define the culture we share in this warm family of believers.
